B-03
X-wing
Designed from scratch in SolidWorks and Blender, printed, painted and weathered by hand.

I wanted one on my wall, and I didn’t want the one from the shop.
So I designed it myself. SolidWorks for the parts that need to fit together, Blender for the shapes that need to look right. Then I split it into printable parts, numbered every one of them and drew an exploded view so future me would know where everything goes.
No lights, no motors
Just paint. Primer, base coats, the red stripes, then weathering. That means panel lines, dirt and scorch marks, so it looks like it’s done a few runs instead of coming straight out of a box. The weathering took longer than the printing.
Numbers
About 40 cm wingspan and 50 cm long. Big enough that the detail reads from across the room, small enough to still fit on a wall.
